Never Ending Freefall

Jan 15, 2017

Cursing the comforts, the safety of shades
Envying creatures fulfilling roles
I hide from this world, well camouflaged
Among all of the wandering souls.

I don't know why I was taught
to look at things without desire.
Don't fan the flames, just look, unless,
you would light yourself on fire.

I gaze at stars across the sky
They all rain down; in fear I freeze.
It just looks like that for tears are
heavier still than galaxies

Going round and round in circles,
Strength felt futile after all,
When I learnt at last that orbits
Are a never-ending freefall...
