When darkness knocks

Mar 16, 2026

When darkness comes knocking at your door, you answer. You let it in, give it water, give it dinner. Let it engulf you and squeeze out your tears.

If you don't do that then it will poison your water and your food, poison the very air you breathe, and you will slowly inch closer and closer to death without ever dying. Instead, you will live in this distorted stoic limbo, where everything is how it should be, but nothing feels quite right. Like the right angles are a degree off, like the lights are all either too dim or too bright. Like you are there in everyone's life, just... ever-so-slightly see-through. Like you're alone.

Treat darkness with the utmost hospitality and it will never overstay it's welcome.
